Mushroom Recipies:
Wild Mushroom Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
- one pot boiling water
- one bag red potatoes
- one basket (2-3 handfuls) wild oyster mushrooms
- (You can use buttons if you're afraid of poisonous ones)
- one stick butter, cut into 4 pieces
- one handful green onions, chopped
Boil the water. Peel the potatoes,
keeping the peels in a seperate dish.
Put the naked potatoes in the water and boil until soft.
30 minutes into the boilage, get yourself a skillet and place a pat of butter in there.
When melted, add the green onions.
Stir, make sure they absorb the butter.
Now, add the mushrooms and another pat of butter.
Then, the potato peels and the 3rd butter slice.
Take the potatoes out with a slotted spoon
and put them in a bowl to mash, one at a time,
adding the butter and veggie mix in slowly.
Add the last slice of butter
while you are mashing it all together.
They taste very sweet and buttery.
Ramen Suprise With Mushroom:
Ingredients:
- Boiling pot of water
- Skillet
- Stick of butter
- Bag of frozen vegetables
- Pack of noodles
- Box of white mushrooms
- Spices you like
Boil a package of frozen mixed veggies
(cauliflower, carrots, broccoli or a mix works best).
When boiled, put into a sealed container
with some of the water and put in the fridge.
Wait at least 12 hours.
Next day...
Boil a package of noodles (like ramen, but discard the spices)
Get a large skillet and melt some butter.
When the noodles are ALMOST done (still a little white)
Put them in the large skillet.
Add the soaking veggies from yesterday and
some more butter.
In a seperate pan, fry up some button/white mushrooms
(caps and stems seperated)
in butter.
When the noodles are fully cooked
and the mushrooms have shrunken and browned, add them to the noodles.
Spice to your liking, I recommend orange spice and sesame seeds.
